Circuses have always been international. For over 250 years, the magical big top has brought top artists from all over the world — Russia, China, Latin America, France — to entertain people where they are.

Circusful maintains that tradition, bringing the very best of international circus to the streets of Belfast and sending our own professional and budding circus artists all over the world.

Our social circus specialists have worked with children in Sarajevo and Peru, and we’ve sent youth circus groups to Australia, Canada, the USA, Finland, Denmark and Italy, enlarging and extending our international circus family.

International partnerships are an essential part of Belfast Circus life and work. We are a founding member of the international CARAVAN circus network and our CEO is a Board member. We also work with other circus organisations from around the world, which means that our children, young people and trainers can access opportunities to travel, make new friends, develop new skills, and explore the international world of circus.

Now travel is becoming more possible again, we are talking to a number of other organisations about exchange programmes, courses, masterclasses and residentials.

If you are based outside of Northern Ireland and would like to explore some ideas together with us, please get in contact.

In addition to CARAVAN, we are involved in a range of other local, national and international boards, networks and groups. These relationships support us to bring our vision and mission to life.

Ever since our foundation, we’ve brought in the very best of international talent to teach, entertain and inspire our Circusful family. Our youth circus has worked with big names like Archaos and Cirque du Soleil, the renowned clown and physical comedy specialist Joe Dieffenbacher, top Canadian trapeze artist Stephanie Lamoureux, and famed Australian circus director Stephen Burton.
